Nuix XLR8/23 Conference in London

Am 21.03.2023 fand in London die Konferenz „Nuix XLR8/23“ statt. Wolfgang Fietzke von IAV und Dr. Lars Siebert, LL.M. (Emory) von Büsing Müffelmann & Theye hielten einen Vortrag zum Thema „How to handle EU Regulations in US-Monitorships - A holistic legal and technical approach“.

Am späteren Nachmittag vertrat Dr. Lars Siebert, LL.M. (Emory) die kontinentaleuropäische Perspektive innerhalb des Panels "Moving Beyond eDiscovery: Current and Future Data Challenges Facing the Legal Sector". An dem Panel, moderiert von Luke Aaron, nahmen zudem Jenni Weaver, Mark Browne und Eli Daniel Simpson als ausgewiesene Experten aus den Vereinigten Staaten und dem Vereinigten Köngreich teil. Besprochen wurden unter anderem zukünftige KI-Vorschriften und ethische Fragen zum Einsatz von KI bei der Ermittlung kriminellen Verhaltens in großen Datenbeständen. Nach einem äußerst informativen und bereichernden Tag mit vielen weiteren spannenden Vorträgen und Paneldiskussionen endete die Konferenz mit einer großen Gala. Nuix XLR8/23 Conference in London

On March 21, 2023, the "Nuix XLR8/23" conference took place in London. Wolfgang Fietzke from IAV and Dr. Lars Siebert, LL.M. (Emory) from Büsing Müffelmann & Theye gave a presentation on "How to handle EU Regulations in US-Monitorships - A holistic legal and technical approach".

Later in the afternoon, Dr. Lars Siebert, LL.M. (Emory) represented the continental European perspective within the panel "Moving Beyond eDiscovery: Current and Future Data Challenges Facing the Legal Sector". The panel, moderated by Luke Aaron, also featured Jenni Weaver, Mark Browne and Eli Daniel Simpson as distinguished experts from the United States and the United Kingdom. Topics discussed included future AI regulations and ethical issues surrounding the use of AI in identifying criminal behaviour in big data. After an exceptionally informative and enriching day with many more exciting presentations and panel discussions, the conference ended with a grand gala.
